If you are not going to use your lamp for an extended period (3-4 weeks or more) remove the wick assembly and any remaining fragrance. Clean your wick using the following maintenance procedures before storing it away. Return any unused fragrance to your fragrance bottle using the funnel to reduce spillage.

Cleaning your wick

• Place your wick assembly in the Séjour Wick Bath and pour enough Séjour Wick Rejuvenator over the wick assembly to just cover it. Replace the lid to prevent evaporation.
• Leave for about 1-2 days. You may notice black carbon deposits in the rejuvenating fluid. This is normal and indicates that the wick is being cleaned through the soaking process.
• You may notice the rejuvenating fluid change colour to resemble weak tea and it may also contain some black carbon deposits. Replace the rejuvenating fluid with fresh fluid ready to use again.
• After soaking, place the wick assembly on paper towel to dry.
• If you are not going to use your lamp immediately, store the dry wick assembly in a container or a plastic bag.
• When you are ready to use your lamp again it is recommended that you do a fragrance free wick burn. This is not essential but it will extend the life of your wick.
  

• As you use your lamp you may find that your crown becomes discoloured. To clean just mix a paste of cream cleanser and water and use an old tooth brush or soft cloth to gently polish the crown inside and out. Rinse in clean water and pat dry.
  

Fragrance free burn

• Pour some Séjour Wick Rejuvenator in your lamp, insert wick assembly and let it soak for approximately 20-30 minutes.
• Light the lamp as normal and allow it to burn for 3-5 minutes. This will burn off any residual fragrance oil and carbon build up.
• Empty the Wick Rejuvenator back into the original bottle to re-use next time.
• Your lamp and wick assembly are now thoroughly clean and ready to use again.

Wick Maintenance Tip

We recommend that you have two wicks - one working in your lamp and one soaking in the wick bath with Séjour Wick Rejuvenator so that you can rotate between the two and continue to enjoy your Séjour Effusion Lamp without interruption.
